Dial Up: Mac 8 Setup

Before you begin you will need your username, an access number, and your password. Your user name will be of the form username@domain.tld, where username is the user name you setup with us. You can find an access number here.

• To begin, click on the Apple icon on the top left hand corner of your screen.
• Go to Control Panels.
• First start with TCP/IP and click on it.

• On the TCP/IP windows you want to make sure that Connect via: has PPP in it. If not use the pull down menu to change.
• Configure should have Using PPP Server. If not use the pull down menu to change.
• All the other fields should be left blank.
• Once you are done, you can close the window and go back to the Apple icon, Control Panels and select PPP.

• In the PPP windows you will want to fill out the following:
  
  Name = Your user name using the form username@domain.tld.
  Password = Your password.
  Number = Will be the access number your computer dials when connecting to the Internet.
